October 9, 1970: Traded by the Washington Senators with Joe Coleman, Jim Hannan, and Aurelio Rodriguez to the Detroit Tigers for Denny McLain, Don Wert, Norm McRae, and Elliott Maddox.

November 18, 1974: Traded as part of a 3-team trade by the Detroit Tigers to the St. Louis Cardinals. The San Diego Padres sent Nate Colbert to the Detroit Tigers. The San Diego Padres sent a player to be named later to the St. Louis Cardinals. The Detroit Tigers sent Bob Strampe and Dick Sharon to the San Diego Padres. The St. Louis Cardinals sent Alan Foster, Rich Folkers, and Sonny Siebert to the San Diego Padres.
